A Jewish Law Forum participant reports that the July '97 ABA JOURNAL, at page 44, mentions
Ashelman v. Wawraszek, Nos. 95-15071 and 95-15168 (9th Cir., 1997), regarding Arizona's
policy of providing Orthodox Jewish prisoners with one Kosher meal per day plus nonkosher
alternatives. The Court found that this policy violated the prisoners' rights under the
First Amendment Free Exercise Clause.
